  2. Think Like A Man - $8 m = $73,029,000 17-Day Total - ($12 m production budget)
  3. The Hunger Games - $5.7 m = $380,727,000 45-Day Total - ($78 m production budget)
  4. The Lucky One - $5.51 m = $47,917,000 17-Day Total - (production budget n/a)
  5. The Pirates! Band of Misfits - $5.4 m = $18,563,000 10-Day Total - ($55 m production budget)

No surprise here. After an end to a weak April, Marvel’s The Avengers dominated its opening weekend. But by how much was the question. The Avengers targeted the past record holder’s—Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2—$169 million opening and easily eclipsed it with an unthinkable $200.3 million in the United States alone. The film has already eclipsed The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor’s domestic totals throughout each of their entire runs. The film nearly made back its entire $220 million production budget in one weekend and is set to have a second week total of an unprecedented $100 million and will look to pass $300 million in the coming days.

OUR ADVENTURE TO BLACKPOOL ZOO I had such a good day here, I had to document it!! It was a cold windy and rainy day and yet we still had loads of fun!! My Son had no idea where we were going, so once we pulled up on the carpark, he thought we were taking him to ASDA, needless to say, walking in a zoo, was much more exciting for him :D. We saw so much, had a great laugh, ate high priced garbage (sorry i mean great food) and we even got to watch the zoo keepers cutting an elephants toe nails…… sounds gross…. surprisingly we watched the whole thing! Its kinda strange watching an elephant respond to its own name and then lift its leg up through a hole in the cage to allow the to cut the nails….. very bizarre!! The Avengers - review

Absolutely loved this film!!! it was absolutly ace, laughed all the way through it, the characters worked so well together and the effects were amazing.

I’m not a big lover of 3D films - some just don’t seem to be done particularly well but avengers in 3D was epic! No complaints apart from the fact that i wish the next one would hurry up and be made and released!!! I have a serious soft spot for comic films and this film blew them all out of the water!! looking forward to the next lot of films theyre going to release now!! :D
